Project Manager
Our project managers possess strong organizational skills in managing projects up to $30 million in contract value.
A successful candidate must possess the ability to:
- Read and interpret plans
- Estimate material requirements
- Contract with material suppliers and subcontractors
- Price and negotiate change orders
- Track production rates and compare with the budget
- Speak and write properly with good communication skills
- Perform estimating calculations
- Act as liaison between Berger Bros. Inc. and the client
This last item is critical to the company's success. A project manager must be familiar with each of our trades. Framing, lathing, waterproofing, plaster system and different plaster applications. The project manager deals with all facets of the project. The project manager works closely with the superintendant and the foreman to make sure that manpower and suppliers are available as needed. Also, they are well versed in building codes related to our work.
Primary to this position is the use of scheduling software to manage resources and address general contractors' time contraints. Berger Bros. Inc. uses Microsoft Project and Primavera Sure Track software. These programs have reduced time required to determine production results, improved our ability to spot problem conditions and make sure that ressources are available when needed. We prefer candidates who have at least three years experience, and an experience with Sure Track is also desired.
Berger Bros. Inc. is a competitive, equal opportunity employer. We are known for our dedication to performing all projects well regardless of difficulty. We seek to exceed our clients' expectations for quality and performance and we select employees who are eager to continue these relationships.
